Domini SD. Velasquez

Undersecretary and Chief Economist

Domini Velasquez is an experienced economist with over 15 years in
macroeconomic research and policy analysis. She currently serves as
Undersecretary and Chief Economist at the Department of Finance, where she
leads the Office of the Chief Economist in fiscal policy recommendations, tax
reform assessments, and the development of macroeconomic forecasting
tools.
Previously, she was Chief Economist at Chinabank, under the Financial Markets
Segment. Domini also spent a significant part of her career at the National
Economic and Development Authority, advising on the country’s development
plan. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Ateneo de Manila
University and Master’s degrees in public policy from both the National
University of Singapore and the London School of Economics.
